1. The U2 series
The yamaha u2 is quite familiar in the malaysia market but somehow you cant really find new u2 piano anymore in the market Especially in Yamaha HQ Malaysia kelana jaya. As we mentioned in Yamaha U2C review, u2 series is in the grey zone where people tend to go for Yamaha u1 121CM or yamaha U3 131cm. Piano Tan personally found out that the u2 was never entered the US market or the european market, mostly u2 was seen in Asia market. The u2 is 125cm which is stuck in the middle.

Today we will go into the specification of U2B and touch only a little on the sound quality. U2b is made in Japan and considered the first generation of U2 series. The dimension of u2 is Height: 127cm, Width: 151cm, Depth: 64cm
The u2b was made in Japan around 1968 and it only comes with 2 pedal. Normally we will add another practice pedal for the piano and it can fully function as compare to original 3 pedals piano.
The action of the piano is fully made by Yamaha with 100% wool and the backpost was using strong spruce.
3. Conclusion
| Normally the U2 we encounter sounded just nice and if you ask if there’s any big difference between u1 u2 and u3 ? i have summarize some info here U2 is slightly taller compare to u1 and slightly shorter than u3, the actions are almost the same but the strings are slightly longer compare to u1.
